"Let No Love Fall Victim to Circumstance"

I recently watched a breathtaking movie called "Circumstance" - thanks to Netflix! I have been wanting to watch "Circumstance" for a while and finally got the chance to do so last week. The movie is about two Iranian women existing in a stringent cultural reality that doesn't fully permit them to be themselves (I think we can all relate to this dilemma at some point in our lives). The story beautifully unfolds at the perfect pace, allowing the viewer to catch every glare, every touch, every glance, and every intricacy. The two young women fall deeply in love, but must go out of their way to repress their feelings amidst other looming family and societal issues. Go and get this movie, watch it and let me know how you like it!

How amazing is this photo?? I love the masculine look on women!

Beyonce

I've heard some good comments and some bad comments about Beyonce's Givenchy haute couture gown at last night's Met Gala. Personally, I LOVED it! Beyonce is daring, bold, and is always commanding attention. The dress she wore appropriately does the same. Why would we expect anything less of Queen B? She wore the artsy, revealing dress extremely well. And it is the Met Gala... an event like this calls for DRAMA : )

Fashion Inspiration

Look at these shoes!! Prada's "smoking" heels are too cute! Artsy and fun; love it. For about $890 you can own a pair : )

Caviar Manicure by Ciaté

Nail trends over the past few years have been crazy. Long gone are the days of a simple french mani and pedi. While browsing fashionista.com I came across a post about the new DIY Caviar Manicure by Ciaté. I am still a little unsure about whether I will partake in this trend, which will soon be available at Sephora. What do you think?

I love the little bottle of joy that came in my Birchbox this month. The new Essie Luxeffects collection is gorgeous!

I am usually not one for flashy nail colors... I like soft pinks, nudes, and dark blues and blacks. Yea, I'm pretty boring when it comes to nails... But surprisingly this glittery polish looked amazing on. AND, if you're like me and aren't really that great at giving yourself the perfect manicure, this polish allows some room for (minor) error. Unlike regular polish, it doesn't have to go on perfectly to resemble a salon manicure.

The color I'm sporting now is the "a cut above" shade (shattered pink diamond glitz).
