Fab Body Factory's Nails and Dumbbells Event

On Monday, June 11th, dozens of women in the DMV met at the Fab Body Factory in Upper Marlboro, MD for mixing, mingling, manicures, and massages! This was really a fun event! Gift bags were raffled off (I actually won one of these bags, complete with nail polish, workout gear, and lots of gift cards!) and one lucky lady won an amazing pair of Nike sneakers. If you haven't already checked out Deanna Jefferson and her fitness and lifestyle company, the Fab Body Factory, please do so! Check out the pics below (and please excuse the picture quality!):

Celebrity jewelry designer Deborah Mdurvwa was there, selling lots of latest line. She's worked with celebrities like Lil' Mo, Maya, and Tracy DiMarco, just to name a few! Check out her designs below, visit her website and be sure to follow her: @Mdurvwa

These were dubbed the "Pink Friday" editions by Deborah's customers! They were in my gift bag and I can't wait to wear them.

There was also a meditation session where everyone sat still for about 10 minutes and meditated on life and body image. It was extremely relaxing.

Caviar Manicure by Ciaté

Nail trends over the past few years have been crazy. Long gone are the days of a simple french mani and pedi. While browsing fashionista.com I came across a post about the new DIY Caviar Manicure by Ciaté. I am still a little unsure about whether I will partake in this trend, which will soon be available at Sephora. What do you think?

glitter.

I love the little bottle of joy that came in my Birchbox this month. The new Essie Luxeffects collection is gorgeous!

I am usually not one for flashy nail colors... I like soft pinks, nudes, and dark blues and blacks. Yea, I'm pretty boring when it comes to nails... But surprisingly this glittery polish looked amazing on. AND, if you're like me and aren't really that great at giving yourself the perfect manicure, this polish allows some room for (minor) error. Unlike regular polish, it doesn't have to go on perfectly to resemble a salon manicure.

The color I'm sporting now is the "a cut above" shade (shattered pink diamond glitz).
