Sex... In the form of swimsuits.

Summer calls for skin and sexiness. A couple of weeks ago, I attended the D'Milikah fashion show on the Georgetown waterfront. The Brazilian designer Emily Gonzaga had a great turnout and the weather couldn't have been more perfect for this type of fashion show. The models served lots of skin and lots of sexiness! It was great to see different body types rocking different styles of swimwear.

I snapped a few pics of my favorite pieces! Be sure to click the link above to shop this brand.

Fashion Inspiration

Even though it's been abnormally hot, extremely muggy and really stormy lately (at least in the DC area), I am still inspired by these cheerful outfits put together by one of my favorite bloggers. Check out these summery 'fits from her site

Christina Ricci and Pan Am, Plus Upcoming Events

First and foremost... Things have been crazy busy lately so please excuse my recent absence!! I'm finally back in the swing of things and am so excited about some of the latest fashion news and upcoming events that I will be attending!

PAN AM

Top: Moschino
Shorts: ASOS

Christina Ricci looks gorgeous on the cover of NYLON for their September 2011. This shoot served to promote her new show, "Pan Am" which premiered on ABC on Sunday. As an early 20th century history buff and lover of vintage fashion, I definitely tuned in to the premiere... if not for the plot, for the clothes and hairstyles. Christina plays Maggie, a Pan Am stewardess. I was presently surprised to find out that the show was actually intriguing! I'm looking forward to next week's episode!

UPCOMING EVENTS

Fashion Show REVIEW

The Fancy Little Things Fall Fashion Show last Thursday was definitely a success. Relic in downtown Bethesda was PACKED with faces old and young, and to my surprise, there were a good amount of male faces present too.

The wait time for the start of the fashion show was a little lengthy, but the wait was well worth it! I got the chance to chat with a few people and exchange business cards before the show, while sipping a glass of white wine (discounted of course).

The fashion show itself was pretty good. I would have liked to hear more of a detailed description of the pieces worn and maybe more about the designers, but in any case, the MC (aka the official "hype man" for the models) was very entertaining (pictured below):

Host Melanie (@sisarina) with Jason, the MC (@coolmcjazz) and Robin the Co-Host (@polishedimage)

Hopefully next time around the venue will be bigger since there was such a great turn out!
